Just A Few Factoids

I am so excited to be linking up with Whitney today for Facts of Me. If you haven't checked out her precious blog, you should go right on over and see for yourself just how awesome she is. (After rereading that sentence I realized just how southern I truly am. "Go right on over"....Bless my heart.

On with the facts....

FACT #1: I make myself laugh....We are talking full out LOL here people. I think I am ten times funnier than I actually probably am. See above statement for proof of this. I was a major class clown in seventh grade; my friends thought I was funny, Mrs. Walls did not.

FACT #2: I am addicted to reality tv....Saying it out loud makes it sound even more pathetic than it did in my head, judge me if you wish. My current addictions include, but are certainly not limited to: The Bachelor (l mean hello, it's Sean), Dance Moms (I love to hate Ms. Abbey), and The Real Housewives (Beverly Hills and New York being my favorites)

FACT #3: The class pet hates me....Long story short, I tried to be the cool teacher and buy a class pet for my students. Lesson learned from all this, Guinea Pigs are EVIL. He bit me yesterday afternoon and I spent the rest of the day trying to convince myself that I did not contract rabies or something.

Happier Days
Dont' let this sweet face fool you. He is vicious.

FACT #4: I wear my heart on my sleeve....Somedays all anyone would have to do is look at me the wrong way and I will burst into tears. I have never understood those "thick skinned" people. If there was one thing I could change about myself, this would be it.

FACT #5: I am a major girly girl, but I love baseball....My brother has been playing competitive baseball for as long as I can remember. I has spend many a summer on a ball field in the middle of nowhere. His passion for the game rubbed off on me and the rest is history. There isn't one thing that could come between me and a baseball game. Well...besides Ms. Burch herself. I prefer to combine the two.

Ball field + Tory Burch = Perfection

FACT #6: I stink at sports....while we were on the topic, I thought I would go ahead and mention that I do not have an athletic bone in my body. I am actually crying in my t-ball picture. That's how much I hated it.

****I can not find this picture right now, but it's still hanging on my grandmother refrigrator. I will go over and steal it tomorrow. Check back for picture update, you don't want to miss this one. *****

FACT #7: I am terrified of elevators....I am so glad the good Lord didn't call me to be a nurse, or doctor. There is absolutely no way I would make it. This irrational fear goes all the way back to when I was about 8 years old. My grandmother got us "stuck" in an elevator at our local hospital. Seeing as how I live in a very small town, we only have two floors. Technically, we weren't really stuck in the elevator, she was just pushing the number of the floor we were already on, so the durn thing wouldn't move. I have totally convinced we were going to die.

MIA

Oh my Goodness!!!

Where has this girl been...it has been WAY too long...17 day actually.

Let me try to catch you up on what I've been doing.

Warning: this could be the longest blog post ever!

Baseball season has started and it is in full swing. I absolutely love this time of year, but it sure does make my life a little more hectic. Sy is only a freshman, but he has seen some varsity playing time. Nothing in the world can make me happier than watching my baby brother doing what he loves. He has a passion for the game that is evident. I am so proud of him. Here's a few pictures of the season so far.

School has been crazy busy lately. I have been observed twice in the past two weeks by my university supervisor. He came last Friday the 25th, for my informal observation. I was super nervous about this because the teacher I am placed with suggested I teach math. Teaching math is defiantly not in my comfort zone. I have never been good at math and I was super nervous to be graded on how well I did teaching it. Long story short, my lesson went great and I received a perfect score. To top it all off, my supervisor said he really loved the way I taught math and he was very impressed with the way I controlled my classroom. That was music to my ears. This Friday the 4th, my supervisor came back to watch me teach my 10-day lesson. I was feeling more confidant this time because I wast teaching science, the human body system, I was defiantly feeling more in my element. It went great and he said that I was becoming a much more polished teacher than I was last semester. Still makes me smile to know that I am getting better at what I love.
I was sick almost the whole month of February, I could not figure out why I was not getting over it and getting better. After three visits to my doctor and I fingers stick later, I was told that I have seasonal allergies. Great! Not! I have been taking a nasal spray for the past week and I am feeling tons better! Which is wonderful news since I am outside so much this time of year.

This weekend we were supposed to have ball game every day, but thanks to the monsoon we have had the last two days, they were canceled. This opened up time for me to finished getting everything finished and put together on my ten day. Getting the binder organized and put together is the worst part of the whole thing. I am more than half way done with it and it's not due until April 14 so I am super happy.

Friday night I ran to CVS with mama and we made the mistake of going down the "As Seen on TV"row. I am such a sucker for infomercial and usually the product is not as great as it looks on television. However, this little baby is wonderful. It helps me keep all of my ten day paper organized. If you are a teacher, or a teacher to be, I defiantly suggest you getting a wonder file.

One final thought before I get back to work on my ten-day...I have to have one of these! Graduation present? I think so ;) Speaking of graduation, that is coming up in 69 day! AHHH!! I have to get those applications and resumes turned it. Stress!! I think I need this Ipad to reduced my stress. Haha.

Singing a Song and Bathing a Dog

Last night I was over at my boyfriends apartment and we were all sitting around listening to music...like always. One of my best friends Joey, played this song and said it reminded him of our friendship. I have never heard this song before last night, but ever since then Shira Lani and I have had it stuck in our heads.

Today I got in a little fight with my roommate Emily. This rarely happens, but when it does boy does it become explosive. I immediately thought of this song after our tiny fight. I just love this song because it is such a good explanation of how friendship works. Oh and by the way, Emily and I made up. You know we can't stay mad at each other for too long. I love her too much to be mad at her. Oh and if we weren't friends anymore...who would dress me? Can I get a amen Em?

Moving on to a different topic, how cute is this picture? It is quite possibly my new favorite picture.

I came home this afternoon to attend my sweet baby brother's baseball banquet. When we got back home, I told mom I wanted to give Lucy a bath. This is what happened when she got out of the bath and curled up in front of my heater. She is so spoiled, but so super sweet!
